Two Weeks

14 January 2026

Then, in early January 2026, something shifted.

For the first time since Harvey's first absence seizure four years earlier, he went two whole weeks without a single seizure. No blank stares. No lost moments mid-sentence. Just ordinary days. We even tried every day to provoke one with hyperventilation and couldn't.

Those two weeks were quiet and wonderful. The seizures returned two weeks later, but the gap itself mattered. At the time we weren't carefully tracking the exact combination of supplements he was taking. Looking back, we wish we had been. We still don't know precisely what allowed that stretch of freedom, only that it happened.

It was the moment that made us decide to start writing all of this down.
